Annual Legislative Reception
MGA's first Legislative Reception was held in May 2006 at the MGA headquarters in Lansing, MI.  This functions has become one of the most talked about events of the year among our state legislators and regulatory officials.  The reception provides an excellent opportunity for members to talk informally about the hot topics impacting the food industry and strengthen relationships.  The reception is 100% catered and funding my MGA members.  This event has proven to be an important grassroots addition to MGA's daily advocacy and lobby work.

Annual Golf Outing
Year in and year out, one of the food industry’s best golf outings is MGA’s early-season event that raises funds for the Association’s legislative education programs.  If you are a dedicated golfer, or even if you just appreciate the relationship-building potential of business golf, you will certainly appreciate the valuable opportunity represented by the Michigan Grocers’ outing.

The high standards that MGA maintains guarantee a memorable golfing experience – some of Michigan’s finest golf venues have played host:  Garland, Treetops, Hawk Hollow, The Emerald, The Fortress, Timber Ridge, The PohlCat, High Pointe, Yarrow Golf Club, MSU’s Forest Akers, College Fields Golf Course, and Willow Wood Golf Club.  In 2012, MGA will return to MSU's Forest Akers for its 25th Anniversary outing.

Fall Conference & Fall Golf Classic
The Michigan food industry's "big event" every year is the MGA Fall Conference.  Full of business-building, networking and learning opportunities, it is an excellent business conference and retreat for hundreds of retailers, wholesalers, brokers, manufacturers and other supermarket suppliers.  Featuring just the right mix of social and business functions, acclaimed speakers and entertainment, this is the Michigan food industry's top conference, year-in and year-out.  The conference also features the annual Fall Golf Classic.
