For
110 years the Michigan Grocers Association has
represented the vital business interests of the
state’s food industry.
|
 |
Today its membership consists of nearly 900
supermarket, grocery, and convenience stores across the state of Michigan.
|
 |
MGA’s
Associate Members include 100 food and
beverage manufacturers, distributors, and equipment and
service suppliers.
|
 |
Two-thirds
of all Michigan supermarkets (grocers with annual sales
of
³
$2
million) are MGA members.

The
Michigan Grocers Association includes the state’s
largest food chains, but 96% of its retail
members are independent, family-owned businesses.
Even in today’s environment of business
consolidation, acquisition and mergers, those small
businesses still operate 50% of MGA member stores.
