For 110 years the Michigan Grocers Association has represented the vital business interests of the state’s food industry.

Today its membership consists of nearly 900 supermarket, grocery, and convenience stores across the state of Michigan.

MGA’s Associate Members include 100 food and beverage manufacturers, distributors, and equipment and service suppliers.

Two-thirds of all Michigan supermarkets (grocers with annual sales of ³ $2 million) are MGA members.

The Michigan Grocers Association includes the state’s largest food chains, but 96% of its retail members are independent, family-owned businesses.  Even in today’s environment of business consolidation, acquisition and mergers, those small businesses still operate 50% of MGA member stores.
